As of March 19, the French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer awards the top rating "good to excellent" to only 79% of French winter wheat stocks. Last week, 80% of the holdings received the top credit. The ratings of winter barley sank even more clearly. 76% of the stocks were in top condition compared to 78% in the previous week.
In the case of Durum wheat, however, the stocks developed positively again. 81% received the best rating, after 80% in the previous week.

The summer barley sowing is far behind the level last year. It took place on 38% of the planned areas (previous week: 35%). At the same time, 77% of the planned space had already been ordered last year. Apparently, the wet and cold winter weather in France is causing delays.
