FranceAgriMer announces this afternoon that corn planting in France will close at 74% on 7 May. In the previous week, the sowing rate was 57%, compared to 91% a year ago.
The condition of winter wheat stocks has meanwhile stabilized. As in the previous week, FranceAgriMer gave the top rating "good to excellent" for 78% of its holdings. In winter barley, the state also remained unchanged and 74% of the stocks received the top rating.
The condition of summer barley in France has deteriorated slightly. After 80% in the previous week, only 78% of the stocks received the top rating.
