FranceAgriMer reduces forecast of the French maize

The French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer has reduced last month to 11.8 million tons its forecast for the current French corn crop of 12.2 million tonnes. Thus, the forecast is 9.6% below the result of the previous year. It has also influence on estimated corn stocks at the end of the marketing period, whose estimated reduced from 2.3 million tons to 2 million tons.
Increase slightly the Weichweizenendbestände be according to estimate by FranceAgriMer 2016/17 by 2.4 million tons to 2.5 million tons, as well as the closing stock at the barley from 1.8 million tons to 2.4 million metric tons.
The prognosis of soft wheat exports outside the European Union upheld FranceAgriMer unchanged compared to the previous month at 4.7 million tonnes while the prognosis of soft wheat exports within the EU of 6.4 million tons was reduced to 6.3 million tons.
