The export of wheat from France to countries outside the EU rose in May to 1.6 million tons. That's the biggest monthly export volume in the 2015-16 season wheat third country exports from France come July 15 until May 16 to 11.4 million tonnes, 12% more than in the same period of the previous year.
Within the EU could France, the EU's largest wheat exporter shipped 2.4 million tons of wheat in may, so that July/may exports to a total of 18.5 million tons, an increase of 6% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Wheat France third country exports were dominated by Morocco's imports, where drought had led to a poor harvest. 515.481 tonnes in may went to Morocco and 388.589 tons to Algeria. In the first 11 month of the preceding marketing year purchased Morocco of 2.4 million tonnes of French wheat and thus more than twice as much as in the entire previous year. Algerian wheat imports from France came to May to 4.4 million tonnes, 67% more than before.
An extraordinary destination for French wheat was Mexico, where 101.697 tons in May. The entire season's brought 24.750 tons on a total of 469,561 tonnes, against just the year before.
Algeria and Saudi Arabia bought Furthermore, 72.184 and 38,000 tons of barley from France. A total 250.002 tons of French barley in EU countries were in may, during the whole period, there were 4.5 million tons. The total barley exports of France included in the EU(28) come to 7.2 million tonnes.
