With the recent rise in prices for slaughter pigs, the demand for piglets has also increased. Declining feed costs are also spurring on the fatteners' willingness to stall. The available numbers of piglets are still manageable, waiting times have to be accepted. Prices are therefore tending to be firmer in all regions of the country.
