GASC checked state granaries subsidy fraud suspects

Egypt GASC has ordered a review of State grain silos, after completing the purchase of subsidized wheat from local agriculture last week. The tendered quantities of around 5 million tonnes up described by operators as unrealistic. In previous years, only 3 to 3.5 million tons were produced locally. For this year, the local harvest is estimated only at 2.5 million tons. Private operators have lodged a complaint with the competent court, because they suspect that exist only on paper one to two million tons of wheat.
The wheat from the local production is highly subsidized by the Egyptian Government. Subsidy fraud was already revealed in previous years. The Government was in the spring but not ready fundamentally to change the subsidy, but ordered some pads only during the harvest collection. So all road transport had to be registered.
Himself should corroborate the allegations, so Egypt, the world's largest wheat importer, considerably more wheat on the world market will need to buy, although the dollar reserves in the country on the Nile are scarce.
