The Egyptian GASC Gets a new boss. Mamdouh Abdel Fattah already leaves the State-owned Egyptian company July 1. His position is undoubtedly the most important in the global grain market. The Chief of the GASC oversees the strategic grain purchases in Egypt; the country that is the world's largest wheat imports. Subsidized bread for the poor supply of the land is made from the grain, and it therefore contributes to the social peace in the largest Arab economy.
Mamdouh Abdel Fattah, who presided over since 2013 of the GASC, will launch another State Egyptian authority in the future. Who will be his successor, has still not been released. In dealer circles, Ahmed Youssef, a senior staff member of the GASC considered most promising candidate.
