Technical sales, losses at the soybean and corn complex, and improved weather conditions in Europe and the Black Sea region led to wheat prices closing in Chicago on Friday. In a weekly comparison, the front month of July lost 2.6% in value. It is the third weekly decline in a row. It is unusually dry in the south of the US Plains. 38% of the areas in the state of Kansas are unusually dry over 23% in the previous week, the US drought monitor shows. Institutional investors sold 5,000 lots of CBoT SRW wheat on Friday.
