Grain exports of Ukraine declining for 2020/21

Ukraine's grain exports in the 2020/21 season (July 1 to June 30) amounted to 2.96 million tons, compared to 3.96 million tons at the same time in 2019/20, due to lower corn deliveries the Ministry of Economy announced on Wednesday.
As of August 5, exports included 1.46 million tons of wheat, 490,000 tons of corn and 1.0 million tons of barley.
Ukraine exported around 1.5 million tons of corn at the same time last season.
The ministry has not declared whether the exported grain was harvested in 2020 or 2019.
Ukraine harvested a record 75.1 million tons of grain in 2019, but production could decline this year due to bad weather.
With 56.5 million tons of grain sold in the 2019/20 season, the country is the fourth largest wheat exporter in the world. The government has not provided a grain export forecast for 2020/21.
