Grain harvest in Ukraine exceeds previous expectations

The Ministry of Agriculture in Kiev reports this morning that in the country until November 27, 68.2 million tons of grain has been harvested. The previous estimate was 68 million tonnes and was already a record.
Of 14.5 million hectares, cereals were harvested with an average yield of 4.7 tonnes. The acreage totaled 14.84 million hectares.
33 million tons of maize of 4.3 million hectares were introduced, which is currently 94% of the acreage.
The wheat harvest is now completely over in the Ukraine. There were 25.1 million tons together, the yield per hectare was 3.8 tons.
In addition, 7.35 million tonnes of barley were harvested at a yield of 3.03 tonnes / hectare. The sowing area was completely harvested.
Ukraine had forecasted a harvest of 68 million tonnes for 2018 in previous forecasts. In 2017, it was 61.3 million tonnes.
