Prospects of rainfall over the weekend and earlier this week in some regions of the US plains caused heavy losses at wheat futures in Chicago on Friday. In a weekly comparison, the month of May lost 6.4%, the largest weekly loss since August. Institutional investors sold 9,000 lots of CBoT SRW wheat. The eCBoT trades this morning with further losses. At Euronext in Paris, the wheat futures followed the negative overseas guidance and declined on all dates. The French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer awards the top rating "good to excellent" as of 12 March (80%) for only 80% of French winter wheat stocks (previous week: 81%). The winter crops in Germany have weathered the winter months with the severe frosts in February in total without serious damage, reports the DRV. The current harvest forecast of the DRV is noticeably below the long-term average of 47.9 million t (- 4.8%). In Hamburg, the quotations for standard wheat with 12% protein for delivery in March remained unchanged at 4 euros over Paris March 18. For feed wheat in southern Oldenburg the offers for delivery in March are 173 euros.
