Grain traders in Ukraine lower corn harvest and export forecast

The Ukrainian Grain Trade Association UGA today lowered its estimate for the 2020 grain harvest (wheat, corn and barley) due to adverse weather conditions.
According to this forecast, the harvest should be 25.3 million tons, previously 26.6 million tons were assumed. A measure of the smaller amount is an estimated lower corn harvest of 32.5 million tons (previously: 35.3 million tons).
Experts now expect Ukraine to be able to export 27.2 million tons of corn this season. In September the figure was still 29 million tons.
