Since it is difficult to market rapeseed oil, the oil mills are currently asking for less rapeseed. How it will go on during the corona crisis is uncertain. At the same time, farmers offer little rapeseed because the old harvest is marketed and the drought is difficult to estimate due to the drought. In the last week, the prices for advance contracts fell by 2.5 euros / ton.
Compound feed manufacturers are well supplied with soybean meal on the front dates. As the oil mills in Europe will soon ramp up their production, the market supply of feed meal remains secure.
With the drop in the price of crude oil, the prices for vegetable oils also fell. Pressure is also coming from the palm oil market and, for a week, also from soybean oil. Nobody can quantify exactly how high the stocks are. Therefore, the market participants are waiting for the time being.
