Hardly any old-harvest wheat is traded on the cash markets here. The producers' willingness to sell remains at a low level, but the quantities offered are usually sufficient to meet demand. The first deals for the coming harvest are currently being made at a price level of 385 to 390 euros per tonne, although here too the trading volume is still weak. Concerns about possible supply gaps have receded into the background again, so that buyers are not always willing to pay high surcharges either. Trading on the corn market picked up slightly. The willingness to hand over has also increased in the past few days, so that there are always free lots to be found.
