Wheat prices developed differently on the two exchanges yesterday. In Paris, the busiest month of December was down by EUR 3 to EUR 318.75/t. The cash markets in Germany continue to show a calm volume of sales. For bread wheat, many mills are supplied until the end of the year. At the beginning of the week, the compound feed industry bought up only a few types of feed grain. There is no willingness to sell for inquiries that are in the coming year. The statement by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov caused uncertainty. He criticized the "West" for not sticking to the grain agreement and continuing to sanction fertilizers and agricultural goods. He indirectly questions the extension of the grain agreement. In the US, wheat prices rose yesterday after Monday's bank holiday. The spring wheat harvest has picked up speed recently, with 71 percent of the stocks having been harvested in the meantime. At 480,000 tons, US export shipments were weaker than in the previous week. In the marketing year to date, wheat shipments have lagged behind by around 1 million tons.
