On the Euronext/Matif, wheat contracts continued to move north until midday. In the course of the trading day, however, the courses turned and closed at the end of the day and the previous day's level. The ship carrying Ukrainian corn, which launched on Monday, successfully passed the inspection in Istanbul and is now on its way to the port of destination. In Russia, the harvest continues to progress very well. The Ministry of Agriculture reports a current harvest volume of 44 million tons, which is 10 million tons more than at the same time last year. Good harvest progress is also being reported from the Ukraine. The government there expects a total grain production of 65-66 million tons. Wheat prices also fell yesterday on the CBoT. In addition to the reports from Istanbul and the progressing harvest work, the prospects of weak export figures in particular are having a negative impact on trade today. However, the wheat contracts are slightly green in premarket trading today.
