Corn on Euronext/Matif remains volatile. Yesterday turned north again on the back of the recovery in wheat and the weather outlook for the Corn Belt and Central Europe. The German Weather Service has issued heat warnings for several regions. The most traded November date increased by EUR 6.25/t to EUR 311.75. Additional support came from the strengthening crude oil markets. Corn in particular benefited from this on the CBoT. The heat wave in the USA is expected to continue in the coming days. Corn in the USA is currently in the important pollination phase. The heat wave is expected to have a significant impact on the quality and volume of the corn harvest. With a volume of 1.07 million tons, the US export figures were significantly higher than in the previous week. Pre-market, the corn contracts on the eCBoT started the day again with a red sign.
