The International Grains Council (IGC) has increased 2016/17 to 7 million tons its forecast of world wheat production to 729 million tonnes (previous year: 736 million tonnes). Rich rainfall have contributed in recent months to good growth conditions in a number of States in Europe, CIS and North America. However rising concerns that below-average qualities could be harvested.
Harvesting corn in 2016/17 was prized to 1.003 billion metric tons, unchanged to the previous month's forecast, but about the result of the previous year (969 million tons).
