IGC lowers forecast for corn harvest

The International Grains Council (IGC) today lowered its forecast for the 2020/21 world corn harvest, as expectations for yields in the USA, Ukraine and the European Union are lower.
In its monthly update, the government-independent organization has reduced global corn production by 4 million tons to 1.156 billion tons.
The forecast for the world wheat harvest in 2020/21 has been increased by 1 million tons to 764 million tons.
