India's grain harvest 2017/18 at record level

The Indian farmers brought in a record harvest of 99.7 million tons of wheat in 2018 (previous year: 98.61 million tons). This number was called today by the Ministry of Agriculture in New Delhi.
India is the second largest wheat producer in the world after China. 284.83 million tonnes of staple foods such as wheat and rice were harvested this year. That is a new record. The previous estimate was 279.51 million tons.
The rice harvest was estimated today at 112.91 million tons.
