Indonesia buys 100,000 tons of corn from South America

The state-owned Indonesian grain buyer Bulog has bought about 100,000 tons of corn from South America. This was announced today by dealers from Europe.
Last week, the buyer launched an international tender to buy that quantity after private importers had trouble buying feed wheat.
Bulog has announced that the maize will be delivered by sea before December. The prices of the goods offered from South America are 215 USD / ton c & f.
Maize from the USA or Ukraine was out of the question as it absorbs more water from the air, then warms up and turns black. It is also possible that South American corn already stocked in Asia was offered.
