Judgment mitigated in the glyphosate process

Bayer subsidiary Monsanto has achieved a small success in the glyphosate process at the Superior Court of California: The previously imposed damages for the seed manufacturer are expected to fall from 289 to 78 million dollars. Nevertheless, Bayer has announced an appeal against the verdict.
The plaintiff, a janitor at a school that bases his cancer on contact with glyphosate, must now decide by December 7 whether to accept the $ 78 million payment. If he does not, Bayer can apply for a new lawsuit.
The ruling could point the way to the current lawsuit for approximately 8,700 complaints in the US against Monsanto about possible glyphosate-related diseases.
