Kansas: Yield expectations for wheat in the southwest as low as last 2015

As part of the Kansas Crop Tour, participating crop scouts expect wheat yields averaging 35.2 bushels per acre (bpa). Recently they were so low in 2015. In 2017, it was 46.9 bpa and on a 5-year average 39.7 bpa. In 2015, revenues were averaged 34.5 bpa. We studied 284 fields between Colby and Wichita. A final yield forecast for Kansas is expected this Thursday.
