Kazakhstan: grain exports to decline slightly

The Central Asian country of Kazakhstan's grain exports declined in the period 1 July 2016 and 10 January 2017 to 4,466 million tonnes. This reports the Kazakh Ministry of agriculture on Thursday. The volume for the same period amounted to 4,597 million tons last year. The marketing year for cereals starts in Kazakhstan on 1 July and end on 30 June. For the current season 2016/17, Kazakhstan plans to increase export to 9.0 million tonnes. The country exported 8.4 million tons in 2015/16 season.
