MATIF: Wheat prices little changed in thin trade

The futures on European wheat trade today at low trade volume with almost unchanged rates. Many traders are still in their new year's holiday. Also, the derivatives exchange CME remained so most traders in Europe with trading restrained today in the United States still closed.
A slightly weaker euro gave the Parisian wheat future some support but in the quiet square pulses were missing, to break through the chart resistance tested to last week. The front-month March on the MATIF EBMH7 noted mostly unchanged on 168 euro / tonne, just below the 168,50 €/ to have been traded in the past two sessions. There's obviously a resistance.
The offer is worldwide very large, which is why it will be difficult to trade much higher rates. Much depends on the exchange rate of the euro. The euro fell today against the U.S. dollar and thus interrupts the price increase of last week. Early December the euro was quoted at its lowest against the US dollar for nearly 14 years.
German wheat with 12% protein for delivery in January via the port of Hamburg is today with 4,5 €/ to above the Paris March contract offers. Buyer offer 3.5 €/ to know about March-Paris. In Poland the mills depending on the shipping region with 640-700 PLN offer zloty for January delivery 5-10 more than in the last week; This corresponds to 144.9 €158.6 E/to for wheat with 12.5% protein. Exporters have paid for 730-735 Zloty to free loading port.
The wheat and corn exports from Poland come forward at high speed, the offers from the farm can barely kept up with the demand, so a corn merchant from there. Neither the farmers nor the dealer keep getting the goods back to higher prices. But, it may be that the official crop estimate for Poland was too low.
In December, following ships from Gdynia were loaded: 30,000 tons for South Africa, 30,000 tonnes for Spain, as well as 50,000 tonnes to an unknown address. In addition, 40,000 tons for Mozambique were shipped in Szczecin.
