After Tuesday's significant losses, wheat prices on the Euronext/Matif firmed yesterday. On the CBoT, however, wheat contracts went down slightly from the new front month of September. The negotiations in Ankara on Ukraine's agricultural exports are giving signals that a solution is more likely. At the same time, the UN Secretary-General, for example, emphasizes that there is still a long way to go before an agreement is reached. It is estimated that up to 20 million tons of grain are stored in Ukraine's seaports. The announced heat wave in Central Europe gives wheat prices additional support. The figures from the WASDE report continued to have an impact on the CBoT. In addition to the news from Ukraine, the US dollar, which has become stronger against the euro, and the currently weak demand for US wheat on the export market are also depressing the mood of market participants.
