Morocco's state-owned grain agency ONICL has tendered a tender to import over 354,000 tons of durum wheat from the United States at discounted tariffs. The result of the tender is to be announced on March 5. The tender provides that shipments will arrive in Moroccan ports by May 31, traders said. On December 26, the Moroccan government passed a decree suspending the common wheat duty from January 2 to April 30 to ensure regular supply and to prevent price increases on the domestic market.
