Morocco's state grain buyer ONICL has launched a tender to import over 354,000 tons of durum wheat from the United States at reduced duty rates. Wheat is being sought for arrival at Morocco's ports on May 31. The decision on the deal will be made on January 9. On December 26, the Moroccan government issued a decree suspending customs duties on soft wheat from January 2 to April 30 in order to ensure regular supplies and prevent price increases on the domestic market.
