Movement in the US-China Trade Dispute - Part 2

A high-ranking Trump administration official denied Friday a media report stating that US President Trump is ready for a potential trade deal with China.
"There's still a long way to go," the unnamed official told CNBC's Eamon Javers.
Earlier this Friday, Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, said Trump wanted to reach an agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping and asked key US officials to start drafting potential terms for a deal.
Reuters was unable to confirm both reports immediately, and White House officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Bloomberg report. Nevertheless, global stock markets rose on Friday amid growing expectations.
