OAIC disappoints with over-priced wheat offers from Russia

Algeria has not yet benefited from the decision to weaken the specifications for wheat imports. The wheat tender that was sold today for an estimated 550,000 - 600,000 tons of common wheat for delivery in November will again not be served from Russia, according to the traders' estimates.
The Algerian OAIC (state grain buyer) announced today in a press conference that it expects Russia to offer its wheat more aggressively. After all, the specifications for imported wheat would have been toned down especially for suppliers from the Black Sea region.
