Pakistan buys at least 300,000 tons of Black Sea wheat

Importers from Pakistan bought at least 300,000 tons of wheat from the Black Sea region in June and July. This was announced today by dealers in Europe.
Pakistan's government approved these imports in June for private companies to counter the country's price increases for wheat and flour. So far, five deliveries from 60,000 tons to 65,000 tons have been agreed.
A delivery at the price of USD 219.50 / ton c & f for delivery in August / September was already agreed at the end of June. Four more deliveries were then added by July 20. Prices of $ 231-239 / ton c & f for August deliveries were reported.
The deals were made by international trading houses. All deliveries are expected to go to Qasim port in Karachi.
Further purchases are likely if prices in Pakistan do not cool down.
