Pakistan is looking for 300,000 tons of wheat

A government agency in Pakistan has launched an international tender to buy and import 300,000 tons of wheat, European traders reported on Monday. The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) tender ends on October 5th. A previous TCP tender for 300,000 tons of wheat was closed on September 23 with Russian wheat at the lowest price. The new invitation to tender shows that no purchase was made after the price offers submitted on September 23. The wheat in the new tender can be of optional origin and should be delivered between January 1st and 5th. Tenders should be submitted for at least 100,000 tons. We are looking for wheat with a protein content of at least 10%. TCP reserves the right to buy 5% more or less than the bid volume. The Pakistani government allowed wheat imports in June to cool domestic wheat and flour prices.
