Pakistan is looking for wheat

A government agency in Pakistan has issued a new international tender to buy and import 320,000 tons of wheat, European traders report. The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) tender ends on November 3rd. The wheat can be of optional origin and shipping must be organized so that all grain arrives in Pakistan by January 31, 2021. The minimum offer is 100,000 tons.
TCP has been buying wheat on the world market on a regular basis over the past few weeks to improve local supplies and cool prices.
In its last reported wheat tender on October 16, Pakistan is said to have purchased approximately 340,000 tons of wheat. The Pakistani government allowed wheat imports in June to bring down domestic wheat and flour prices amid shortage of local supplies.
