Palm oil prices rise 1% this morning

Palm oil prices at Bursa Malaysia rose 1% this morning. They thus follow the fixed specifications of rivaling vegetable oils.
The most-traded Oct.-Oct. 18 session was at lunchtime at 2,214 ringgit / ton, or an increase of 0.8%. So far 8,556 lots have been traded.
Overnight, soy oil prices have also risen at CBoT and Chinese Dalian. A firmer ringgit against the US dollar limits the rise in the price of derivatives on palm oil.
