In Paris, wheat futures did not find a unified direction ahead of the weekend. While the front month still made it into the profit zone, the rear month went south. In addition to the ongoing harvest work, the report from France also put pressure on the stock market. The wheat harvest was increased by 1 million tons to 33.9 million tons. Wheat prices also suffered further losses on the other side of the Atlantic. The leading September fell $6.75 US cents/bushel and thus costs the equivalent of 280.06 euros/ton. The first ships have meanwhile left the ports of Ukraine. A ship has already reached Turkey and is being checked there. However, market participants remain skeptical. In Argentina, grain producers breathed a sigh of relief over the weekend. The much-needed rainfall has slightly improved growing conditions. Nevertheless, the situation remains tense. Harvest work in Russia is not going as smoothly as expected. The main reasons are technical problems due to a lack of spare parts. ICAR continues to expect a grain harvest of 138.5 million tons.
