With another strong premium, the VEZG has raised the listing to 1.85 euros/kg SG. Due to the destocking of the last few weeks, the living stock is still small and can be marketed without delay. The slaughter companies are also always looking for free lots. Above all, the increasing sales on the meat market are responsible for the increased demand. However, with the simultaneous high feed costs, the economic situation for the pig farmers is hardly any better. For the current week, the "Association of Producer Associations for Livestock and Meat" gives an average AutoFOM price factor (median), the "association price" of €1.85/index point (that's + 10 cents compared to the previous week) in a range of 1 €.85 to €1.95; the corresponding FOM base price is €1.85/kg slaughter weight.
