Potato harvest now also starts on heavy soils

Now rain has finally fallen in the potato growing regions of Central and Western Europe and it is expected to remain inconsistent for the next two weeks. This is now making it possible to soften the soil in the arid regions of south-east Holland and Belgium. The potato harvest can finally progress there too.
This does not yet have any impact on potato prices and the market situation will not change for the time being. Potatoes that were not sold in preliminary contracts will continue to be "disposed of" in alternative recycling options. This determines the price for processing raw material.
Table potatoes are now being advertised in a large number of advertising campaigns, which is boosting sales. In addition, the first deliveries to other EU countries, especially to Africa.
