Because little has changed since the turn of the year on the German potato market, prices remain largely stable. From the producer's point of view, there are positive messages for providers of chip raw materials. Top pop-parties are sought by the factories and for export sometimes even with mark-ups. The export of table potatoes towards Eastern and Southern Europe is also fast. However, Dutch exporters are waiting for follow-up orders from Africa, where their own harvest begins. The suppliers of free frit raw material is required to continue patience. The fry factories have to settle after the Christmas break back contracts and buy on the open market not at all. In addition, lots of rotten tubers keep coming out of business. The quotations for frit raw material are therefore nominal almost everywhere.
