Maize in Paris rose again significantly yesterday. For the future front month of June it went up by 24 euros to 337 euros/t. The price development on the CBoT and the effects of the Russian attack continue to determine the market. Better weather conditions in Argentina could not harm the bull market. In Chicago, the most traded May date rose by 22.75 US cents/bu and closed the trading day at the equivalent of EUR 266.70 per ton. US exporters expect demand for US corn to increase by up to 300 million bushels. However, the current export figures of 485,100 tons are significantly lower than in the previous week, but the four-week average is exceeded by 47 percent. Pre-market, the corn dates on the eCBoT were once again clearly green.
