For a few days now, there has been a slight upturn in the trade in pigs ready for slaughter in Germany and the overhangs are declining moderately. But that cannot hide the fact that the situation is still tense. The worsening corona pandemic with the new Omicron variant is slowing down the meat market. At 1.20 euros / kg SG, the Association of Producer Associations kept their price recommendation stable. The cautious optimism in the pork trade was brutally choked off, in particular by the new tightening of regulations in the catering trade. There is great uncertainty as to whether further restrictions will follow. Thus, the sale runs at a constant level at largely stable conditions. The slaughterings are in full swing across Europe. The offer is large and covers all needs.
