The price of slaughter pigs remains unchanged at 1.47 € / kg SG

The trade in pigs ready for slaughter is slowly easing again. Overhangs that were still there in northwestern Germany have recently been largely removed.
But slaughtering is currently at a lower level in Germany, so less pork is offered. At the same time, however, there is greater demand from the holiday regions and from food retailers in Germany because many people spend their days off at home or on holiday in Germany. At the shop counter you can even get a little more money. Barbecue items are particularly popular again.
The neighboring countries also report stable prices for slaughter pigs. In France, the slaughter weights have even decreased and the meat supply is less than the demand. Belgian slaughterers can currently export pork to Eastern Europe.
