Prices for Russian export wheat continue to

The prices for Russian export wheat have risen further in the past week. The harvest is delayed and there are problems continue with the export tax, while the demand is increasing. Rain in the southern growing regions delayed the harvesting operations. It concerns first and foremost the core region, in which wheat is produced for export.
The forward were Russian wheat of the new harvest with 12.5% protein to the end of last week at $201 per tonne fob Black Sea port. These are $2 per tonne higher than in the previous week. Until July 10, 10 million tons of grain were harvested in Russia of 2.7 million hectares. A year ago, there were 12.4 million tons at the same time. The yields are specified with 3.71 tons per hectare (VJ. 3, 53).
There is an export tax, which later turns out, than the exporters expected it since July 1. The calculation varies from one region to the other. Some merchants pay 50 rubles per ton, others report of 250-600 rubles per tonne. As a result, some traders had converted their contracts of wheat to barley. Since July 1, Russia has exported 255,000 tons of grain; of 115,000 tons of wheat (VJ. 466.000 tons).
In the European part of Russia, the prices for local wheat of class III were at 9,400 rubles per tonne from loading station, which corresponds to a decline of 100 rubles.
