The rapeseed contracts on the Euronext/Matif remain volatile. Just like the canola contracts on the ICE in Winnipeg, it went down again significantly yesterday. The front month loses 24.75 euros/t and thus closes below the 700 euros/t mark again. The rapeseed trade is currently characterized by falling prices for crude oil and vegetable oils. The soy complex is just bearish yesterday. Market observers primarily blame profit-taking for this. According to the first harvest reports from South America, the first results are up to 10 percent below expectations. The USDA's export report for a total of 460,000 tons yesterday had the effect of limiting losses.
