Rain in wheat growing regions is putting agricultural futures prices under pressure

On CBoT, the prices of wheat futures fell significantly last Friday and again today. Rainfalls are predicted for the growing regions in the USA and some parts in Europe. Fears that drought will reduce yields evaporate.
Nevertheless, there are other surplus regions in which rain is still urgently awaited. The wheat area there is large enough to continue to worry about global wheat supply.
Donald Trump said that the Chinese’s commitment to buy US farm goods is not his primary concern. If the suspicion that the corona virus originates from a Chinese laboratory is confirmed, it will impose new tariffs on China.
