Rape seed / rising temperatures could dampen expectations of a bumper crop

Dry weather in France, Germany and Poland could 2015 reduce the proceeds of this year's crop of oilseed rape in the European Union and dampen expectations of another large crop 2014 the record result.
In some regions, rainfall was below average in the spring. Moderate temperatures and a sufficient soil moisture could mitigate the impact but so far. Should temperatures rise and rainfall to stay out, it could lead to downgrades of earnings.
The European Commission expects by 2015 with a EU rapeseed crop of 22.4 million tonnes compared to 24.3 million tons last year. The consulting firm of ODA is 21.8 million tons with its forecast.
