Rapeseed with discounts

Raps left yesterday's meeting on Euronext/Matif at a discount. The most traded May date closed 3 euros weaker at 412.00 euros/t. Over the entire month of February, the date lost 10.50 euros per ton. The subsequent contracts also closed correspondingly weaker. Trade on local markets in Germany remains manageable. Oil mills are actively looking here, but can always rely on goods from Eastern Europe, the Baltics or export. Rapeseed meal remains in short supply. Some mills say they will not be able to deliver again until mid-March. Rapeseed meal prices are correspondingly stable. On the vegetable oils side, however, there is tailwind. Soybean oil was able to increase - albeit only slightly. Palm oil in Malaysia, on the other hand, rose sharply and market participants expect better export demand for palm oil. Canola in Winnipeg showed its bullish side yesterday, rising Can$2.70 to Can$593.70/t.
