Rapeseed held its own in yesterday's market environment and gained EUR 2.50 per tonne on the Euronext/Matif. The demand for rapeseed is high. The Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft estimates the demand of the German oil mills for this financial year at 23.3 million tons. The harvest, on the other hand, is between 18.1 and slightly more than 19 million tons, depending on the statistics. The import statistics show that in the first 14 weeks of this financial year almost 1.7 million tons have been imported, which is more than 40 percent compared to the previous year. Soya showed its red side yesterday, falling double digits. The soybean harvest is in full swing, but the subsequent logistics are currently a problem for exports. A delivery delay of 15-20 days is currently calculated for Chinese orders. Sowing of the next soybean harvest is underway in Brazil. Around 24 percent of the space has been cultivated, which corresponds to the average for the last five years.
