Paris rapeseed futures continued to add to gains yesterday. The May date saw the biggest jump in price at EUR 37.75 per tonne to EUR 882.75 per tonne. The soybean complex ended yesterday's trading day consistently in the black. Both the bean and the meal contracts recorded gains. In addition to the WASDE report appearing today, the rising oil prices in particular pulled the beans upwards. Market participants expect a reduction in the yield forecasts for the south. In addition, the export business with oilseed could pick up speed again if the harvest in South America turns out to be as bad as forecast. The USDA, meanwhile, yesterday confirmed a new sale of 132,000 tonnes to China and a sale of 126,000 tonnes to an unknown destination.
