Raps corrects easily

While canola was able to leave with profits from trading on the ICE in Winnipeg on Friday, the contracts for rapeseed on Euronext/Matif corrected slightly. The leading November date closed 1.50 euros lower at 444.75 euros/t. On a weekly basis, rapeseed has fallen slightly. At the closing bell on Friday last week, 449.00 euros were still on the stock exchange's display board. Rapeseed meal increased slightly at the wholesale level over the weekend, and on the cash markets, deliveries of rapeseed for November are usually valued somewhat more firmly compared to the middle of the week. The storage ban on Ukrainian agricultural goods in some Eastern European countries, which also included rapeseed, expired on Friday without an extension. The governments in Poland and Hungary have already announced that they will single-handedly maintain the storage ban in order to protect domestic producers.
