Corn contracts on both sides of the Atlantic were slightly weaker on Monday. So far, Ukrainian export shipments have mainly included corn, which is why prices have been under pressure. However, the case of the first ship that is currently anchored off Turkey shows that loading is not going smoothly. US exports have also lost momentum. Last week, 555,000 tons were loaded, which is around 1/3 less than in the last week of July. US corn health assessments were revised down. Only 58% are still in good or very good condition according to the Crop Report figures. A week ago it was three percent more. Pre-market signs are therefore also green for CBoT corn today.
